Access students from Mariupol participated in a two-week camp «Ukraine is the Capital of Great People».
On the whole there were:
- 219 school teams;
- 71 camp teams, where schools from all over Ukraine were united;
- Nearly 2,100 students;
- More than 300 teachers;
- 71 volunteers from Ukraine and 19 countries of the world;
- 15 motivational star speakers.
The students participated in workshops, worked in groups with volunteers from Australia and Ukraine, created great ark products and shared their experience with peers from other Ukrainian cities.
The students learnt a lot about art, creating comic books, sticker packs, videos on Tik Tok, etc. by attending online workshops of people who are professional in these fields. They got to know a lot of facts about Australia and presented Ukraine to the English speakers. The students met a lot of new peers, shared their opinions and revealed their talents. They created some art works and presented them to the whole group. The students had a lot of speaking practice and could apply their knowledge of English in practice. They got inspired by the speakers, teachers, peers and were open to new ideas. Art therapy helped them relax and focus on positive emotions.
