There is no doubt that all those who learn any foreign language find the opportunity to communicate with a native speaker as a blessing.
For this reason, the Access Mykolaiv team had a chance to meet with Mary Capps within studying the topic of raising and disciplining children.
Mary is an EngIN program volunteer, whose mission is to help a generation of young Ukrainians improve their spoken English and intercultural skills, making an impact on both an individual and a national level.
She appeared to be not only as an interesting American guest at the intensive session, but also as a kind of an expert, because being a mother of three kids is definitely an ace in the hole when discussing such a controversial topic as the relations between teenagers and parents.
The Access participants were excited by cooperation with Mary and they invited her to join their classes once again.
Mary’s reply gave them the right to hope that she would certainly come one more time:
«What a sweet group of lovely girls! I enjoyed it very much. Young people need adults who speak from their heart and who don’t minimize those young people’s hurts and fears».
