Fun ways to learn English from Access Mykolaiv team
FUN WAYS TO LEARN ENGLISH: VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS FROM ACCESS MYKOLAIV TEAM
One of the brightest events in the life of Access Mykolaiv team was participation in a short video contest initiated by RELO, U.S. Embassy, Kyiv in recognition of International English Day on April 23, 2021.
It was such a pleasure and honor for us that our video «Fun ways to learn English» had been selected as the winner by the organizing committee and received a lot of voices in the public poll.
Every stage in the process of producing the video – developing the concept and the timeline, brainstorming on the format, writing the script, distributing the functions and parts, rehearsing, producing – was thoroughly and excitedly completed by the students.
While working at the video, the students had to apply multiple technical skills: they had to choose the technologies to create and edit the video, to use the video recording equipment to make the videos on their own at the highest available quality level, to choose a file-sharing storage, to create a joint film and edit it, to search for uncopyrighted music to be used as a proper background, to keep to the time limitation requirements, etc. We are grateful to the RELO team for launching this highly useful and exciting contest which gave us the opportunity to gain and apply various hard and soft skills in a meaningful authentic context.
We hope our video will be useful for everyone who would like to learn English with in an enjoyable way.
