Freedom and independence are constant and extremely integral components of a democratic society.
They are the rights of any human being and any state worth fighting for.
4th of July is a US federal holiday that indicates Americans’ will to live independently in their own country.
It has its own history, symbols, and traditions which Access Berdiansk Team studied celebrating the 4th of July during the lesson.
Students read about the history of Independence Day and did a quiz, watched and discussed a video about traditions of celebrating, competed in a Jeopardy game, found symbols of the holiday in the word search, etc.
Access Berdiansk Team is grateful to the Regional English Language Office for the opportunity to continue studying the English language and US culture under difficult and dramatic circumstances in our beloved country – Ukraine.
And we thank all American people for their support.
